Purchasing a CPC membership makes you an official member of the Conservative Party of Canada, giving you a voice in leadership races, policy development, and the future direction of the national party.

 

Important Note:

Membership or donations to the national CPC is NOT donating to your local riding and is different from the Foothills Conservative Party $400 Club.

  • CPC Membership gives you voting rights and a say in the national party and the money goes to the National Conservative Party of Canada fund.  

  • Local riding donations on this website support local campaign operations, community outreach & education as well as local election readiness to grow our Conservative movement in the Foothills riding

  • The Foothills $400 Club is a donor recognition program with exclusive benefits for donating $400 and above to the local Foothills riding

Donation Rules & Tax Information
Political donations are regulated by Elections Canada. Here’s a quick breakdown of the annual limits, tax credits, and who can donate.

  • Maximum donation: $1,775 per year to a local EDA

  • National party limit: $1,775 per year 

  • Total possible contribution: $3,550 annually (combined)

  • Maximum tax credit: $650

  • Eligibility: Donations must be made by Canadian citizens or permanent residents
